I stayed in Qingdao for three nights, and this hotel has written 'comfort' into every detail
I came to Qingdao this time to avoid the crowds in the old city area, so I specifically booked my accommodation at Himalayas Hotel Qingdao. Originally, I just wanted to find a place to stay not far from the Stone Elderly Bathing Beach, but unexpectedly stayed for three consecutive nights. The most unforgettable part of the whole trip was actually this accommodation experience.
At the moment when I checked in, there was no rigid sense of process at the front desk. The staff smiled and handed me iced lemonade. I heard that I was coming to Qingdao for a peak holiday. They took the initiative to help me upgrade the sea view side room on the high floor. They also handed me a handwritten note, which marked the sea walk with few people nearby and the seafood market that local talents went to. They even reminded me of the peak time of the hotel breakfast, fearing that I would come back to the seaside early and miss the hot instant Rice noodles.
At the moment of opening the door, the exhaustion of the journey dissipated in half. The space of over 40 square meters has no unnecessary fancy decorations, with warm toned wooden furniture and soft warm light. Just as the cold wind blew in from the seaside, the whole person immediately sank into a relaxed atmosphere. The 120 degree floor to ceiling glass window faces the city skyline of Laoshan, and in the distance, you can vaguely see the sea in the direction of Mr. Shi. When you wake up in the morning, you can see the morning sun shining through the cracks of the buildings, dyeing the entire wall warm gold. You don't even need to set the alarm clock, and the feeling of waking up naturally is really comfortable.
The most surprising thing is the intention hidden in the details. The deep soaking bathtub in the room is facing the small sofa by the window. During the day, I stepped on the water by the seaside and got soaked in the salty sea breeze. At night, I filled it with hot water and sprinkled it with the hotel's free bath salt. After soaking for half an hour, I even relaxed my toes. The softness of the bedding is just right, not the kind that is so soft that it sinks in. It has a strong sense of support, and after wandering for three days until late at night, you can fall asleep in just a few minutes without the insomnia of changing beds. The sound insulation of the whole house is particularly solid, even if there are activities in the commercial district downstairs on weekends, when the door is closed, only the white noise in the room remains, and even the footsteps passing by in the corridor are almost inaudible.
The experience in the public area was also impeccable, with freshly made Qingdao noodles and local seafood cold dishes for breakfast. I didn't get tired of eating for three days, and the window seat allowed me to enjoy the distant clouds while eating. The 24-hour self-service laundry room with drying function allows dirty jeans and swimsuits soaked in seawater to be thrown in and dried and folded in an hour, without the need to rush down the road with wet luggage. The book bar in the lobby hides many old picture books about Qingdao. In the afternoon when you don't want to go out, making a free cup of barley tea and flipping through a few pages of the stories of old Qingdao is much more comfortable than crowded in an internet famous scenic spot.
I used to think that staying in a hotel in Qingdao meant being squeezed into an old building by the sea to create an atmosphere. This time I came to Laoshan District, Qingdao to coordinate with the exhibition project. I stayed at Himalayas Hotel Qingdao for three consecutive days. The hotel is located in the core convenient area of Tong'an Road in Laoshan District, which is a few minutes' walk from Qingdao International Convention and Exhibition Center. There is no need to leave half an hour in advance and get stuck on the road for morning meetings. Downstairs is Zhengda Thumb Plaza, where business banquets, temporary printing materials, and late night overtime searching for supplies can be resolved within a few steps. It takes less than 50 minutes to walk on the expressway from Jiaodong Airport, and the hotel can also help book airport transfers. There is no need to worry about transporting large samples back and forth to the airport.
The 58 square meter deluxe room I live in has been polished with a particularly thoughtful business attribute. The office area and rest area have been separated by soft partitions, avoiding the chaos of lying on the bed immediately after watching a video. After washing, they can be dried and ironed directly, without the need to bring wrinkled suits to customers. When checking out, I rushed to the signing ceremony at the exhibition center. The front desk opened a fast track and completed the procedures in two minutes. I also helped to deliver the sample box to the car, which did not delay the trip at all.
